Courts Guyana Inc yesterday celebrated with mothers and customers when it hosted a cocktail mix off at its Main Street store as part of its largest appliance promotion for the year.
The mix off started at 10 am and all customers especially mothers got to try one of three cocktails. They had a choice of the Courts Mimosa Cocktail which was a twist in the traditional mimosa with a melody of cranberry, apple, cherry and a hint of citrus topped with champagne; the Mudslide, which is said to be a Guyanese favourite of blended ice-cream, cream liqueur, vodka and chocolate; or Strawberry Daiquiri, which is a blend of real strawberries, rum and strawberry syrup.
All of the cocktails were prepared on site by top bartenders from Shakers Cocktail Bar. It was also a time that members of the public got to see the very best brands in blenders and mixers sold at Courts.
The popular Stereo Sonic Sound System was also present in the store raising the energy.
Acting Public Relations Officer Kester Abrams said that the idea was to give back to moms and all customers. He said when they initially advertised the event they stated that cocktails would be served from 10 am to 12 noon. However, they subsequently decided to let it run until they close at 1 pm provided they have containers.
One mom who was waiting for her Mudslide said she was there to pay an installment but would enjoy the cocktail. Management employee Tamara Rodney outlined other Courts promotions, which include a mothers makeover today at the Parika branch where the first fifty mothers to enter the store will have a makeover and be pampered and a furniture discount promotion starting on Monday.
Rodney hinted at the possibility of a Father’s day promotion.
