(Jamaica Gleaner) The three men who were charged with the murder of hotelier Sandra McCleod were today freed after the Director of Public Prosecutions decided not to prosecute the case.
The court was told that there was not sufficient evidence to substantiate the charge.
Hotelier, Michael Grandison; hotel manager Peter Bandoo; and contractor Desmond Blair were then freed.
McCleod was found strangled in a computer room at the Merrils Resort in Negril on June 5, 2005.
She had gone there to conduct a meeting.
The three men were later arrested and charged with the murder.
The case was traversed from the Westmoreland to Mandeville.
The men were represented by attorneys at law George Soutar, Dwight Reece and Marcus Greenwood.
Senior Deputy DPP Caroline Hay appeared for the crown.
