(Jamaica Observer) Police are now hunting for a man who brutally stabbed a teenager to death for laughing at him when he fell from his bicycle.
The dead teen has been identified as 17-year-old Shayheim Marsh.
The incident happened in the community of Waterhouse in St Andrew on Wednesday.
Police report that Marsh was watching a football match in area known as the Gaza when the man fell from a bicycle. Marsh and his friend laughed loudly which infuriated the cyclist. He reportedly drew a knife and stabbed both friends.
Marsh’s mother who is living in the US mourned her son on the social networking site Facebook.
“That evil that found my son on 5/23/12…just hanging out on the Gaza on a holiday watching a football match, he laughed too hard atsomeone falling from a bicycle and he and his friend was stabbed by a very wanted young man…his last words as he ran to a friend of mine was “Yow oonu help me noh, oonu no see me no do di yute nutten and di yute look like him waan kill me dawg”..he died on his way to the hospital…so here I am, crying, wondering, questioning, crying, laying, sitting, stooping, crying, crouching, asking, crying, feels like dying..oh Lord, why me? ..seeking answers as to why a 17 year old who just told me Thursday “Diane the Cape dem easy, me nah lie, wey we say, UWI?” and me answering “UWI we say straight”..since he was 7 years old he told me he was going to UWI and in an instance, that dream was taken from him…I love you Shayheim Kasheef EarlandoMarsh, I miss you, you were my star, you were my heart, you were my life..I spent a lot of money on you because I saw your potential my son,” the grieving mother wrote.
