Dear Editor,
I was walking along Waterloo Street when I saw Mr Philip Moore ahead of me. I hastened my strides so as to be with him.
On reaching, I greeted him and then a conversation started. We spoke about the concept of African culture and its importance to our lives, and agreed that the Almighty is in charge of all things.
Reaching the Promenade Gardens he said, “I am going in here,” and we shook hands and parted.
Reminiscing on my meeting with Mr Moore and the manner in which he expressed his views brought an unhappy feeling for not being there to see him for the last time due to misinformation.
I therefore suggest that a monument to be placed at the Square of the Revolution in remembrance of Mr Philip Moore.
Yours faithfully,
Lennox A Whyte
