PhotosMiss India Guyana 2011By Stabroek News May 26, 2012 Roshini Boodhoo, Miss India Guyana 2011 poses with the seven contestants of the Miss St Stephen’s Primary School pageant, which will be held today. Roshini visited the school to give the girls a pep talk on pageantry. She also reminded them that they are still young and should not let this make them overconfident, but assist them in grooming their personality. She said she told them that they are still children and should be glad that their parents allowed them to participate in this pageant and should not disrespect or take it for granted. There was a brief introductory session where they shared their names, hobbies and what they would like to become. They all sounded intelligent and their routines and choreography were well put together by Miss Denise and her team. The contestants and the 3 teachers were presented with gifts compliments of Digicel. Roshini presented each girl with a Digicel doll to remind them that they should enjoy every moment of their childhood and not grow up too fast. Roshini also donated the crown that the queen will wear. She said she thought it was perfect as it looked like a smaller version of her own crown that she had won. She was accompanied by designer Nelsion Nurse, who also offered some advice. The pageant is set for today at the St Stephens Primary school from 5 pm.Comments
