Dear Editor,
Recently in the news it was reported that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago had fallen ill, which led to concerns about the vice-presidency situation in Guyana.
Please, let’s bypass the PM Sam Hinds thing. Been there, done that.
God forbid, but should anything render our current President unable to serve, who would be our future president? Why in this 21st century, in our so-called functioning democracy it is guesswork about who that person would be, especially when the current ruling party does not have the votes of 50% of the electorate.
Yours faithfully,
Ramayana Deo Banajee
