Courts Guyana Inc on Tuesday presented six lucky mothers with gift certificates valued $50,000 each, redeemable at Kings Jewellery World, in its Shiny Mother’s Day promotions draw held on May 18.
Nazila Jabar of Linden was the only recipient absent from the presentation ceremony hosted at the Court’s Main Street branch, but the excitement of Rudolph Budhan, Carol Realine, Lyndon Scott, Iscarchand Itwar and Daniel Thomas was good enough to fill the building.
According to a press release, the promotion started about a month ago where any customer who spent $30,000 and over was eligible for prizes.
A seventh lucky mother also won an Apple 8GB IPod Touch in the Facebook segment of the endorsement. The winner would have received the most votes on their choice of a picture or video of a moment with mom. The gift was presented to the winner on Wednesday.
In an interview with this newspaper, Courts management employee Tamara Rodney-Clarke said, “Courts just generally loves giving back to their customers and Mother’s Day just gave them an excuse to show how much they love the moms and everyone who loves their mom.” Several men attended the presentation ceremony, a sign she said indicated that the men support the women in their lives.
Rodney-Clarke said the promotions reflected Courts motto ‘Bringing Family Home’ as it aims to play a positive role in enhancing family living in each Guyanese home.
