The Rotary Club of Stabroek will be hosting “Jazz, Words and Wine”, a celebration of fatherhood and the role of fathers in observance of Father’s Day on Saturday, June 16 at the Theatre Guild from 18:30hrs.
The event is an ideal opportunity to bring together the entire family according to a press release. The release also stated that “Jazz, Words and Wine” will be classy and celebratory and will feature renowned Caribbean group, Jakoostik from Jamaica and comedian Miguel Browne from Trinidad. The evening will begin with a welcoming wine hour where patrons will be treated to wines, cocktails and an array of cheese and grapes.
It is also be the club’s signature event of the year, and is focused on garnering resources to advance the club’s work in literacy among selected youth populations in Guyana.
