A man was yesterday granted $150,000 bail in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on an indictable charge of simple larceny.
It is alleged that on May 29 at Regent and King streets, Earle Williams stole a quantity of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with a fridge and a cart valued $153,200 together, being the property of Alison Padmore.
In his application for bail Williams stated that he is 32 years old and resides at the Chetsons building where he is also an employee.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant Tracymay Gittens made no objections to bail but asked that bail, if granted, be in a substantial amount.
Williams has to return to court on June 11.
