Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) CEO Yog Mahadeo yesterday said that the company has not discontinued its dial-up services, contrary to a report published in yesterday’s edition of the Stabroek News.
Mahadeo explained that the company never sold dial-up internet services to the public but rather to its staff and by extension their families. He said that the service was a private one and was handled internally and that the service is still accessible through Internet Service Providers (ISP) contrary to yesterday’s report.
The report quoted GT&T’s Public Relations Officer Allison Parker as saying that the company had done away with the service.
