LONDON, England, CMC – England’s selectors have called up wicketkeeper Steven Davies for the final Test against West Indies, as cover for Matt Prior who is struggling with an eye inection.
The 25-year-old Davies has already played eight One-Day Internationals and five Twenty20s for England, since making his international debut against West Indies three years ago in the Caribbean.
He was the second choice ‘keeper for England’s series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka during the winter.
Once Prior is declared fit, Davies will be released from the squad immediately.
The final Test of the three-match series bowls off today at Edgbaston.
