The body of a man found floating in the vicinity of the koker opposite La Grange Police Station at Old Road, Bagotville, West Bank Demerara remained unidentified up to press time last night.
The man appeared to be in his 50s and of Indian descent was found floating at the koker on Saturday last. He was said to be fair skinned and bald. The body was removed by undertakers attached to Ezekiel Thomas Funeral Parlor and remains there pending identification.
A source told this newspaper that the man was an alcoholic and may have fallen into the koker in an inebriated state. However, no one has come forward so far to identify him and he does not match the description of anyone reported missing, according to a police source at the La Grange Police station.
