A taxi driver accused of cannabis possession was yesterday admitted to bail in the sum of $50,000, when he made his appearance before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.
It is alleged that on June 8, at Georgetown, Raymond Baird, 45, had in his possession five grammes of cannabis.
Baird, of 167 Charlotte Street, Bourda, pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecution had no objection to the accused being admitted to bail.
The matter will be called again on
June 21.
