Man jailed for threatening to shoot reputed wife over rain-wet bed

A man who told his reputed wife that he would shoot her because  a bedroom window which was left open caused their bed to be wet by the rain was yesterday imprisoned for 10 days by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton.

Ron Sam accepted that on June 10 at Georgetown he used threatening language to Esther Gordon.

Police Corporal Simone Payne who presented the facts said that on the day in question, the defendant took the virtual complainant’s shirt and spread it on the bed which was wet because of the rain. The complainant objected to this and as a result the defendant became annoyed and told her that he would shoot her with his friend’s gun.
