A labourer, who was allegedly found with cocaine during a search at a Corentyne road block, was yesterday arraigned on charges of possession and trafficking of cocaine.
Vishnu Tagenauth, 27, also known as ‘Balo,’ was remanded by Magistrate Krishndat Persaud at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court.
The court was told that on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Number 58 Village, Corentyne, Tagenauth was found with five grams of cocaine when police conducted a search on him, after the car he was in was stopped at a roadblock.
The matter was transferred to the Number 51 Village Magistrate’s Court, where it will be called on June 27, 2012.
