The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Super League championship sponsored by FIFA under the Win in CONCACAF with CONCACAF Initiative is likely to attract a number of players who were on duty with the Golden Jaguars team in today’s matches.
With the Golden Jagurs next game being in September following their 0-4 defeat to Costa Rica at the Providence National Stadium, it is expected that the local members of that team will return to action with their respective clubs for today’s double header at the Georgetown Football Club ground.
League leaders Alpha United and Western Tigers will both be in action today.
Alpha, the defending champions, are on 19 points and will oppose West Demerara’s Seawall United in the first game of the double header at the GFC from 6pm while BK International Western Tigers, also with 19 points but having played one more game than Alpha United will oppose Den Amstel of West Demerara from 8pm.
