The relatives of businessman Mohammed Baksh are calling on the authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding his execution-style killing thoroughly as they remain puzzled as to why someone wanted him dead.
Baksh, also known as Mohammed Shahabudeen Bacchus, was shot several times around 10 pm on Friday at a grill on Thomas Street during an attack by two armed men. He sustained two gunshot wounds to the head and one to the hand. He died at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) while being prepared for emergency surgery on Saturday.
