The Guyana Rugby Football (GRFU) Union yesterday named the team to play against Bermuda on Saturday in the final Caribbean qualifying match for the 2015 Rugby World Cup to take place in Hamilton, Bermuda on Saturday. Guyana reached the final after defeating Trinidad and Tobago Calypso Warriors 20-0 in the Southern Zone final of the NACRA Regional Qualifiers while Bermuda defeated The Bahamas 16-8.
The team is Props; Jason Tyrell, Rondel Mc Arthur and Troy Arjune; Hookers, Allain Crawford and Delroy Gordon, Second Row, Cloyd Prowell, Vallon Adams, Walter George and Avery Corbin, Back-Row, Dwayne Schroeder, Dillion Downer and Richard Staglon, Half-Backs, Ryan Gonsalves, Christopher Singh and Rickford Cummings, Three-Quarters, Theodore Henry, Peabo Hamilton, Elwin Chase, Claudius Butts and Claude Alexander, Full-Backs, Ronald Mayers and Ryan Hinckson.
The reserves are Cyon Kitt and O’Neill Charles Daniels.
The manager is Robbie Roberts, the coach Shane Grant-Stuart and the physiotherapist Arianne Manger.
The GRFU will hold a press conference this morning from 10.30am at the Guyana Olympic Association building to brief the media on Guyana’s participation in the NACRA 2015 RWC 15s Regional Qualification Finals against Bermuda on Saturday in Bermuda.
