(Jamaica Gleaner) The police say a second autopsy conducted on the body of Trinidadian school teacher Michelle Coudray-Greaves has revealed that her death was caused by injuries to the right side of the head.
The post-mortem conducted today showed that the injuries were inflicted by a blunt instrument.
A thanksgiving service was today held for Coudray-Greaves at Dovecot in St. James.
Her body was also cremated today.
Among those at the small service was her mother, Marlene Coudray, who is the Mayor of San Fernando in Trinidad and her husband, the Trinidadian High Commission to Jamaica and former co-workers at Air Jamaica.
In her tribute, Coudray said she was very close to her daughter and described her as loving, family oriented and a good mother.
She expressed gratitude to the Government, the Police and Jamaicans for their support.
The family also departed for Trinidad today where a funeral for Coudray-Greaves is to be held on Saturday.
She was reported missing on June 8.
Following a search, her burnt corpse was found in a cane field in Montego Bay.
The police have indicated that they have begun an investigation of abduction and murder in relation to the Trinidadian teacher.
A man who was held last week as a person of interest, remains in police custody.
