Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo sentenced a 24-year-old man to three years jail after he admitted that he had a quantity of cocaine in his possession when he appeared in the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court.
According to the facts of the case, on June 23, around 9.30am at St John Street, New Amsterdam, Ray Anthony had two grammes of cocaine in his possession. Police ranks conducted a search on the man after they found him acting suspiciously. Ranks found the narcotic in his left-side pants pocket.
