The Ramdhani siblings, Narayan and Priyanna, dominated the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) sponsored, junior badminton tournament which ended on Monday at the Queen’s College courts.
Narayan won the boys singles and doubles while Priyanna won the girls singles and doubles. The two then teamed up to win the mixed doubles title.
In the boys singles final Narayan Ramdhani defeated Cecil Abrams, 21-12, 21-10 while his sister got the better of Ambika Ramraj 21-7, 21-10 in the girls singles final.
In the boys’ doubles final the pair of Ramdhani/Jonathan Mangra defeated Abrams and Darnell Benn, 21-11, 21 – 12 while in the girls doubles final,
the pair of Ramdhani/Ramraj defeated Nadine Jairam/Arian Kayume, 21-17, 21-8.
In the mixed doubles final, the pair of Narayan Ramdhani/Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Jonathan Mangra/Nadine Jairam, 21-7, 21-6.
The presentation will take place on Saturday at the Guyana Olympic House from 1pm.
Prizes will be handed out to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd placed finishers.
