Dear Editor,
There are some ever-widening potholes on a section of the One Mile Bartica-Potaro Road, in the area of the Bartica Housing Scheme. During heavy rain, the rushing waters wash away the sand and small stones beneath the asphalted surface. The daily traffic, particularly the heavily laden lorries which ply the roadway, is making it deteriorate faster.
I wish to urge the Ministry of Works to rehabilitate this section urgently, because a stitch in time saves nine.
