Notwithstanding his appointment as acting Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph company, Major General (rtd) Joe Singh will continue to chair the board of the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC).
“He has assured me that he will continue to serve,” Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert Persaud told Stabroek News yesterday. He said that Singh’s new appointment will not affect his work at the GGMC. Singh was appointed chairman of the GGMC board early last year.
