Former national hockey player and administrator Gregory Sills was described as an affable and hard working individual who was always willing to serve as sports administrators, friends and relatives paid tribute to him at a funeral service held yesterday at the First Assembly of God Church on Durban Street,
K.A. Juman-Yassin, President of the Guyana Olympic Association said Sills was a very reliable council member who was always willing to make a contribution to the development of sport. “It was a privilege to have Gregory as a member representing the hockey board. He was a person who never said no. He was very affable and had a good sense of humour,” Juman-Yassin said in his tribute to Sills who passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness.
Tributes were also paid by President of the Guyana Hockey Board,
