Sacrifice yields success for St Ignatius Primary student

When Brianna Rodrigues, 11, was preparing to sit this year’s National Grade Six assessment, she knew that “success comes with hard work.” As a result, the student of the St Ignatius Primary School, in Region Nine, knew that sacrifice was necessary.

In a telephone interview with Stabroek News, the happy student explained that she expected to do well, since she made sacrifices, including less play and less time in front of the television.

She was grateful to “God and her wonderful parents” for helping her and she singled out her “dear teacher, Ms Sayeann Browne, for her hard work and dedication.” Brianna, who wants to become a doctor, is now anxiously waiting for the new school year when she will be attending Queen’s College.
