The Private Sector Commission (PSC) met yesterday to consider the resignation of its chairman, Yog Mahadeo, and to decide on the election of a new chairman.

A PSC press release said that in accepting the resignation, the Commission recognized the considerable contribution which Mahadeo had made over the many years he had served the Commission, both as a member and as the last vice-chairman.

Additionally, the Commission decided to convene a Special General Meeting of the Council to receive nominations from the members of the Council to elect a chairman.

In the meantime, Vice-Chairman Clinton Urling will assume the responsibilities of the chairman and will preside over the Special General Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 25.
