A man charged with felonious wounding appeared yesterday before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton and he was subsequently remanded.
The accused, Steve Richards, was not required to plead to the indictable charge. On July 3 at Georgetown, Richards is alleged to have unlawfully wounded Marlyn Allen, with intent to maim, disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm to the said complainant. He was unrepresented by counsel but asked for bail. However, Richards could not provide the court with a proper address. The prosecution then asked that he be remanded and the magistrate acceded to the request.
No facts were related to the court about the day in question. He is to return to court on July 23 for report and fixture.
