The promoters of the ‘Keep Your Five Alive’ football tournament have decided to postpone the tournament which will now take place at the California Square, East Ruimveldt from July 20-22.
According to Kevin Adonis of Adoni Productions, he was forced to postpone the tournament and make it a three day affair because of circumstances beyond his control.
“I am more concerned about the image of the tournament, rather than having the players turn up at any given time to compete and having told myself that I need to have more control over the organizing of this tournament, I decided to reduce it to a three day affair from next weekend,” said Adonis.
He said that teams which had won their first round matches on the opening night will advance to the next round.
“On the 20th, we will be having 12 matches lasting 20 minutes each, with the first match kicking off at 1900hrs (7pm) sharp.
Teams are asked to be at the venue at least 30 minutes before their match commences.
The quarterfinals will kick off the following night, while the semifinals and finals will be played on the final night of the tournament which has over $500,000 in cash and prizes.
