The semi-finals of the Inter-Ministry/ Corporation seven-a-side football competition will take place from 6pm today at the Banks DIH Thirst Park Ground along with two exhibition games.
The semi-finalists are John Fernandes Limited who will oppose GNSC at 7.30pm and the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) who will play J&S Electrical at 8.15pm.
The final is set for next Saturday.
In the latest results Guyana National Shipping Corporation (GNSC), who protested their defeat to Republic Bank Limited, were later declared winners of the match after the officials declared that the bank team had breached the rules.
There was no such dispute in the second game as the GRA team ran out a deserving 4-1 winners over Bank of Guyana with Lionel`Lalai’ Grimes netting a double.
Grimes scored in the 14th and 29th minutes while Kevin Archer in the 19th and Sherwin Bailey, in the first minute of the game, were the other goal scorers.
Steve McLean was the lone scorer for Bank of Guyana in the 25th minute.
John Fernandes Limited defeated Ministry of Tourism 3-2 with Jamal Joseph scoring a hat trick in the second, fourth and 16th minutes.
Ministry of Tourism, squandered lots of opportunities to score with only Jermaine Softleigh making use of the opportunity in the sixth minute.
In other results Ministry of Education gained a walkover from GT&T.

e for the night saw Banks DIH being squeezed out of the tournament courtesy of a 0-1 defeat from J&S Electrical.
The lone goal of the game came via a Carlos Grant free kick in the seventh minute.
