The multiple Goodwill gold medalist, also swam a Goodwill Games “B” time in the 50m butterfly event which she finished in 35.49s. Van Lange also recorded a 2:19.49s Goodwill Games “A” time in the 200m freestyle when the trials began on Friday.
Joseph Seguina swam 1:08.58 for a Goodwill Games “C” time in the boys 15 – 17 100m butterfly event when the trials began on Friday.
Yesterday, Seguina swam a Goodwill Games “B” time in the 50m butterfly (30.99s) and Goodwill “C” time in the 50m backstroke events.
In the girls’ 13 – 14 category, Onika George also accomplished a 35.88s Goodwill Games “B” time in the 50m butterfly event and a Goodwill Games “C” time in her 50m backstroke (37.41s) event.
Linden’s Omali Dare swam a Goodwill Games “C” time in the boys’ 15 – 17 years, 50m butterfly race (32.48s) while Kevin Dare managed a Goodwill Games “C” time in of 41.69s in the boys’ 11 – 12 50m backstroke race.
Accalia Khan in the girls’ 11 – 12 category had a Goodwill Games “C” time in the 50m backstroke while boys’ 11 – 12 swimmer Dylan Nurse, swam Goodwill Games “B” time of 39.91s in the 50m backstroke race.
To round out the day’s qualifying times Jamila Sanmoogan swam a Goodwill Games “C” time in the girls’ 13 – 14 5om butterfly of 37.63s.
This brings the total to 15 qualifying times achieved at the time trials. The other qualifying times were attained by Hannibal Gaskin, who swam a 1:07.62s Goodwill Games “B” time in the boys’ 13 – 14 years, 100m butterfly race while Omari Dunn swam a 38.27s Goodwill Games “C” time in the boys 13 – 14 years 50m breaststroke.
Today, the swimmers will be in action from 10am to 1pm and will participate in the 100m Backstroke, 50m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke events.
