Two witnesses testified when the trial of rape accused Leon Doris began yesterday before Justice Franklyn Holder in the High Court.
Doris, called “Blackman,” is on trial for having carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16 in 2006.
Policeman Yohan Henry and policewoman Dinella Thomas were the two witnesses presented by the prosecution at the trial yesterday.
Defence lawyer Peter Hugh, who represented Doris, proceeded to cross-examine both witnesses during the course of the trial.
The matter will continue today.
