The Lusignan Golf Club received a donation of a tractor from newly elected President Attorney-at-law Jerome Khan who had made the pledge to provide the club with one during his acceptance speech at the recently held Annual General Meeting.
Khan made good on his promised and presented the John Deere tractor at the end of the new Management Committee’s first executive meeting recently.
Vice President Kishun Bacchus received the tractor on behalf of the Club in the presence of assistant secretary/treasurer Mike Gayadin.
Khan said there are plans to improve including the fairways and the greens as well as the drainage around the course.
He disclosed that the Committee will be engaging government agencies and the local democratic council with a view to having the roadway leading to the Lusignan Club House rehabilitated.
The new management committee met to finalise plans for its 2012-2013 that is likely to see an increase in the number of local tournaments including two major events before the end of this year.
