A plumber accused of throwing a missile was on Wednesday placed on $10,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Twenty-year-old Andrew Webster, of 665 East Ruimveldt, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on June 11, at Georgetown, he threw a missile to the annoyance of Eleanor Peters.
Webster was unrepresented but he applied for bail.
The prosecutor had no objection to bail but asked that the defendant have nothing to do with Peters, his neighbour, during the continuation of the proceedings.
Peters also alleged that that Webster had “kicked and stomped” her son, causing him injuries, and he also damaged her property.
The presiding magistrate said that those are allegations she was not aware of and she urged the prosecution to conduct further investigations.
The matter will be called again on July 24 after thorough investigations are completed.
