Police have been bulldozing blockages, but protestors continue to block the main arteries, replacing logs and other items on the roads after the police have moved away.
The Kara Kara Bridge was cleared earlier, but was soon re-blocked with large lumber using strictly manpower. Other areas along the Amelia’s Ward highway have also been re-blocked.
The situation on the Wismar shore also remains the same. A crowd has been constantly building up at the bridge this afternoon as a meeting is scheduled to be held there at 6 pm, by regional Chairman Kuice Sharma Solomon.
Around 3 pm today APNU’s Rupert Roopnaraine and a team were seen entering the town and had to be aided across the Kara Kara barriers.
Shortly after, this reporter saw Gerhard Ramsaroop and an AFC team also arrive in the town.
