In wake of the Linden shootings, the United Force (TUF) has strongly condemned the use of “brutal force to deter citizens of Linden from protesting and airing their legitimate concerns.” In a statement signed by executive Marissa Nadir, the party questioned why government did not engage the community to address their concerns and instead allowed it to escalate. “How many more lives do we have to lose before the Government of the day addresses our concerns?” it asked.
TUF also said those responsible for “this heinous crime against humanity” should resign even as it extended sympathy to the relatives of the bereaved and urged residents to be calm and reasonable.
