The UNS further welcomes the prompt action of the Government of Guyana in convening talks with the Opposition regarding the matter. The UNS urges all concerned to move forward expeditiously in the spirit of reasoned dialogue to ensure that the situation does not escalate, a return to normalcy at the earliest, and that an agreeable and sustainable solution is reached on the issues underlying the current situation.
“The UNS pledges its continued commitment and availability to work in partnership with the Government and the people of Guyana.”
