(Barbados Nation) No Barbadians are on a shortlist of candidates for the position of West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) chief executive officer.
Following a recruitment process by Deloitte to find a successor to replace outgoing chief executive officer Dr Ernest Hilaire, the board received an update during a directors meeting in St Lucia last weekend.
While no names have emerged, NATIONSPORT understands the shortlist is fewer than ten candidates and does not include any Barbadians. It is expected that the new chief executive will be engaged in an appropriate capacity before Hilaire demits office in September at the end of a three-year contract that he did not to seek to extend.
One of the key decisions taken at last weekend’s meeting was the approval and implementation of a flat fee system for venue rental and hosting of international matches.
