Twenty-four-year-old Shermon Mentore of Turkeyen, ECD was murdered around 11 am today by her boyfriend whose name was given as `Akieto’.
Mentore was found with her throat slit and a cut at on her hand lying in the grass at the back of her home by her brother who informed her cousins.
Her boyfriend was seen fleeing the scene by her cousins who made the discovery, another cousin related.
Her cousins who lived with her stated that they were over at their aunt leaving Mentore and her boyfriend at home.
Police today said that the suspect, with whom Mentore shared a common-law relationship, was later found by the police at the GPHC where he is receiving medical attention for injuries to his throat, chest and abdomen.
