Dear Editor,
The new Herstelling Housing Scheme has been completed since March, but up till now, persons are still not going in to take up residence because the important things are not available, that is water and street lights. As for the roads, how can they build a road with loam? The road is sheer mess when vehicles traverse it.
This is a middle income scheme, because the cost for the land is five hundred thousand dollars. Water and lights with proper roads should have been the first things done, before the houses were completed. Is it fair for us to pay a mortgage and continue to pay rent while sitting wondering when water, lights and better roads will come through? Could the Minister of Housing look into the above please?
Yours faithfully,
D Singh
