The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) has launched a mini Dining Guide that points visitors to some of the best places to eat out in Guyana.
From restaurants to food shops, boldly spiced curries to perfectly blended cook-up, whatever the culinary choice, the flavours are as varied as the nation’s people, a GTA press release said.
“In this mini Dining Guide, you will find tips on where to eat and drink, from restaurants and hotels to diners. This information will now be available to our visitors as well as Guyanese,” GTA Director Indranauth Haralsingh said.
Locals can also make use of the information-packed guide. “Perhaps you’ll learn that you love Brazilian or Italian food, for example, but never knew. [Whether] it is just to break up the routine, celebrate a special occasion, or trying something new, the Dining Guide is sure to have something for everyone,” Haralsingh was quoted as saying.
According to the release, 5,000 copies will be distributed free; at the Cheddi Jagan Internal Airport, Timehri, the GTA and other featured establishments. The GTA said plans are also in train to publish a more comprehensive edition of the Guyanese Dining Guide.
