The Guyana team to the seventh pre-cadet and cadet table tennis championships in Jamaica was yesterday declared overall champs when the tournament climaxed at the University of the West Indies Sports Auditorium last night.
The Guyanese who won gold medals in the boys and girls’ U-13 team events and bronze in the girls Under-11 team events added two silver medals through Elihsaba Johnson and Priscilla Greaves in
the boys and girls Under-13 singles events Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) Secretary Godfrey Munroe told Stabroek Sport yesterday.
Johnson advanced to the singles final by defeating Trese Knight of Barbados while Greaves defeated the Jamaica number one female player.
