BEIJING, (Reuters) – China has prosecuted Gu Kailai, the wife of deposed Chongqing Party chief Bo Xilai for intentional homicide, state media reported today, adding she and a family employee poisoned British businessman Neil Heywood.
The announcement marked the latest development in the drama of Bo, a 62-year-old politician whose downfall triggered China’s most contentious political scandal in decades – months before the ruling Communist Party unveils a new top leadership.
