Managing Director of Caribbean Containers Incorporated, Ronald Webster is the new Chairman of the Private Sector Commission (PSC).
Following voting yesterday afternoon, the rest of the executive comprises Vice-Chair-man, Clinton Urling; Treasurer, Chandradat Chintamani; and Secre-tary, Andrew Astwood.
The move to elect a new Chairman comes in the wake of the fallout involving ex- Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company CEO Yog Mahadeo, who resigned from the chairmanship of the PSC, after he stepped down from the telecoms company when external auditors advised him of a “lapse of internal control” that occurred under his watch. Mahadeo on July 6, just days after being elected, tendered his resignation to the PSC, citing his resignation from the GT&T.
