The post-mortem examination of the body of Sheurma Mentore, who was murdered on Tuesday, revealed that she died as a result of nine stab wounds.
The stab wounds about the woman’s body included one to her throat and another under her left breast, her uncle, Lindo Gill, told this newspaper yesterday.
Her boyfriend, who is accused of committing the crime, is still in a critical condition at the Georgetown Hospital, another relative of Mentore said.
The man is accused of murdering Mentore on Tuesday at their Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara home. She was found lying dead in the grass at the back of her home by her toddler-age brother. She had been seen alive minutes before arguing with the accused.
