Local Honda distributor Marics and Company on Friday launched the newest line of the Honda CR-V 2012 series, dubbing it the car of the future, with safety and quality its foremost priority.
The Honda CR-V 2012’s price ranges from $7.2M, duty-free, to $17M with duty. These vehicles are all sleek and stylish with top class fuel efficiency and are environmentally friendly, according to Operations Manager Winston Willabus.
Willabus said: “What Honda basically seeks to do, bearing in mind the needs of the customer and the environment, is going green and they believe that whatever they make they have the environment in mind.”
He said that when it comes to technology, Honda is ”very committed to improving on technology.”
He added that people often associate Honda with motorcycles since they initially started with motorcycles. However, he stated that they are the makers of several types of vehicles.
He said: “Many people do not know that Honda makes a jet plane, it’s called the Honda Jet, but unlike the other jets which have their engines under the wings, the Honda jet has its engines on top of the wings and there is a lot of plus points for that move.”
Willabus described the line of 2012 Honda CR-V’s as “first and foremost a Honda” which is “a fun vehicle, a safe vehicle and a lovely vehicle” with top class fuel efficiency which is very competitive.
He said that they are committed to providing the Guyanese public with class leading products. He contended that there is no other automaker in the world that has “deeply invested” in the effort for a cleaner environment by providing energy efficient and sustainable transportation. Willabus stated that Honda’s commitment to energy efficient vehicles can be measured “not only by the chronicles of the time dating 40 years ago when Honda first introduced the clean burning engine that changed the industry” but also by its graduation to cutting edge technology.
