The third annual Mark Sutton Memorial football tournament is set to conclude tomorrow at the Melanie Playfield.
The three-day tournament, which has been organized by the Mark Sutton Foundation and the Melanie Tritons Sports and Culture Club commenced yesterday.
The Seven-a-side football competition dubbed “Take It” is being held in memory of the late Sutton, features Under-15 teams from along the East Coast.
The teams have been placed into two groups with the winners and the runner-ups contesting the quarter-finals today.
There will also be a female match with certificates and prizes being awarded to the participants.
According to the brother of the deceased, Titus Sutton, the winners of the memorial tournament will take away the prestigious Mark Sutton trophy along with other cash and prizes.
