The Bahamas says it is seeking to regain majority control of the Bahamas Telephone Company (BTC) that had been sold by the former Hubert Ingraham administrationt to the British telecommunication giant, Cable and Wireless in 2010.
Prime Minister Perry Christie told the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) that his newly-elected administration is optimistic that it would regain controlling shares in BTC and that he does not anticipate a drop in the revenue of the company if and when Cable & Wireless agrees to his request.
