Dear Editor,
I must let you know that the current ubiquitous advertisement war on the air-waves between Digicel and GT&T, is, maybe, just too much for some listeners. It is like fresh pure drinking water; a cupful is just enough to satisfy one’s thirst, but if you pour a barrelful down the throat of a man, the principle of diminishing returns steps in.
Listening this afternoon to National Communication Networks radio programme and the jovial and witty conversation between Jenny and Uncle Larry, one heard several dozen of the same ads repeated one after the other in succession for over an hour. And one is sure that it would be repeated like this for days to come.
This may be much welcome income for NCN as an advertiser, but it is certainly too much for the listener.
And one hopes with this extra income for NCN the monies are deposited in the correct bank account!
Yours faithfully,
Rooplall Dudhnath
