There was free ingress and egress in and out of Linden as far as Mackenzie as a result of the Joint Services’ operation in the town this morning. However, this was not without the usual challenges as protestors continue to re-erect blocks at Amelia’s Ward.
Two men were arrested this morning during the Joint Services’ efforts to maintain clearance on the bridge.
When SN arrived on the scene after 7 am the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) could be seen using two graders: one operated by the TSU and the other by soldiers, to clear Casuarina Drive in Mackenzie.
Residents at Wismar continue to maintain the block on the Mackenzie-Wismar bridge which is currently inaccessible to vehicles. All the primary and secondary roads at Mackenzie continue to be blocked and a large number of residents are out at Wismar.
