Bolt hits back at IOC boss

(Jamaica Gleaner) Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt, has hit back at International Olympic Association president Jacques Rogge, asking what else is needed for him to be considered a legend, after the Olympics boss dismissed Bolt’s claim to being a legend after repeating his 100m and 200m titles at the Olympic Games.

(Trinidad Express) Mudslides claimed the lives of two Diego Martin men yesterday, as residents in northwest Trinidad had to cope with impassable roads, thick mud in their homes, power outages and, in some areas, no telephone service.

New generator needed after older unit failed at Garden of Eden

CEO of the Guyana Power and Light Bharat Dindyal said that the need for an additional 26 megawatts of power is a two-fold one, having its genesis in the failure of another older Wartsila unit at Garden of Eden and the delay in the completion in the frequency conversion exercises, which would see other units being taken out of commission temporarily.
